Silent Cubes is the musical vision of an individual trying not to restrict itself to any particular genre or boundary. Taking inspiration not only from all kinds of music but also from art, science, literature and nature, the project acts as a way of expressing the thoughts and moods of its creator.
Initially set up in 2010 as a side project of drum&bass DJ/Producer Bowsar for his minimal techno works, the musical horizon of Silent Cubes has been quickly expanded by other influences like post-step, garage, trip-hop, ambient, experimental music, noise etc.
In 2012 his track "Polar" got featured on the Viennese Morisson Club Records Compilation Volume 1, a limited CD which included music by Elektro Guzzi, Johann Sebastian Bass, Apotheist, and Gudrun von Laxenburg, among others.
Silent Cubes has released two solo EPs until now. "Neutronenstern EP" in 2010 and "Living Things EP" in 2015.
In fall 2015 he self-released his debut-album "Chords" through bandcamp, a 10 piece experimental/ambient record.
The album was re-released through Zenapolæ Netlabel in 2017.
