The Good, The Bad and The Girl (הטוב, הרע והנערה) was a trio formed when Josie Katz
joined with Ha'Dudaim
for a performance at the Israel Song Festival in 1972 where they finished first. The trio originally didn't plan to write or perform any new songs but after their success at the festival Benny Amdurski
produced a cabaret show for them. The group performed Hebrew versions of American songs they loved from their childhood and the show and resulting album has been credited for bringing Hollywood to Israel. Five entirely new songs by Ehud Manor
and Shmulik Kraus
were also included. A 30th anniversary CD reissue was redited and remastered and includes three additional songs by the trio. They broke up in 1973.
